Placing Your Order
Orders & Checkout
You don’t need to create one manually. An account is automatically created for you during checkout so you can log in later and view past orders or reorder easily.
We deliver across Melbourne metro and selected suburbs. If you’re unsure whether we can reach your location, feel free to contact us at info@yourprivatechef.com.au or 0497 333 100. Pickup is also available from our Caulfield kitchen by arrangement.
All prices shown include GST unless otherwise noted.
Yes – during weekdays it is just $40 plus delivery fee. Saturday is just $150 plus delivery fee. On Sundays it is $500. To have a hot delivery during weekends or evenings please call for options and quotes. Please note min orders apply for hot deliveries. call 0497333100 to go over your ideas.
At checkout, we’ll ask for some important event details:
- Pickup person name and phone number (so our driver knows who to contact)
- Occasion type (e.g. office lunch, birthday)
- Number of guests (to ensure portions are accurate)
- Allergy information (so everyone can eat safely)
- Hot or cold delivery preference
Hot food is great for nearby deliveries and will be timed to arrive just before you eat. If you’re further from Caulfield or want more flexibility, cold delivery with heating instructions may be a better option.
You’ll also be able to add delivery notes, like loading bay access or meeting points in high-rise buildings, to help us deliver smoothly.
If you’ve already placed your order and need to change the delivery address or event details, contact us immediately. We’ll do our best to update everything before the kitchen begins prep or your order goes out for delivery.
Once we confirm your order, you’ll receive an email with the delivery details. On the day of delivery, our team will be in touch if there’s anything specific to coordinate. If you need an update at any time, you can always call or text us.
No, never. Your payment is processed securely using trusted gateways Stripe and Fat Zebra, or by direct bank transfer. We don’t store, access, or process any card data ourselves. Our site is protected with SSL encryption to keep your browsing and personal info safe.
Our shopping cart takes bookings up to 12am (midnight) for next day orders, allowing for a full day’s notice for our kitchen. For larger event bookings please allow 1 week notice to ensure we can book you in. If your catering is very urgent with less than a full days notice, we may be able to help with platters of sandwiches and fruit. Please do call us for urgent needs on 0497 333 100 and we will do our best to fit you in.
Yes, catering orders are packed together unless you’ve requested different delivery times or types (e.g. hot and cold split). Everything will arrive as scheduled, with packaging suited to the format you’ve selected.
